Client’s Requirements
DHL developed this new distribution centre as a joint venture with MetLife Real Estate Investments. It was the first unit to be constructed within the 44 acre G.Park Liverpool site. The construction of the multi user warehouse was completed in March 2011.
This 33,645m2 (360,000 sq ft) building was to be used as a key distribution centre in the North West of England, taking full advantage of access to the regional and national motorways, most importantly the M6 and M62.
The warehouse needed to be fitted out to facilitate an environmentally controlled racked storage facility. In addition there was a requirement to fit out a three storey office accommodation block and new transport office

Added Value / Unique Selling Points
We liaised with the base build design team to rectify issues from the pre-fit out and were also able to achieve minimal defects at the end of the project due to ensuring continuous inspection during construction.
We were under pressure to deliver the project to a tight timeframe and so we therefore ensured we worked cohesively with the contractors to achieve the required end date. Some of the areas were ready early enabling the client to move in pre-practical completion.
