We have embraced BIM (Building Information Modelling) and recognise it as a revolution to our industry as the introduction of CAD was 25 years ago.  We use the BIM approach to enhance the design process. This enables the utilisation of three-dimensional, real time, dynamic building modelling software to increase productivity in building design and construction.

We use Revit and Navisworks to communicate with other design teams and construction team members to form a fully integrated BIM. We are skilled at setting up easy to transfer IFC files between suppliers and designers and we are developing a standard set of COBIE schedules for suppliers and manufacturers to populate within the BIM environment to make it truly end-to-end.  We consider ourselves ‘ahead of the game’ with BIM and 3D integration and we are active members and contributors to ThinkBIM.

We have completed a number of projects to BIM Level 2 and have experience of assembling a model from inception/ set up, including all protocols to finalisation and COBIE schedule linking and embedding.

We consider ‘BIMing’ to be a sensible and practical way forward for our industry and are working towards Level 3 model integration and fully developed MEP content.
