Mike Silcock
Mike is the joint founding partner of Silcock Leedham LLP, now Silcock Leedham Consulting Engineers Limited, responsible for the success and excellence of the business. He is a degree qualified chartered engineer with over 28 years experience in the construction industry in both the Contracting and Consulting Sectors.
Mike has concentrated on developing credible and commercially balanced sustainable and low energy design solutions that can be applied to many sectors resulting in a number of high profile appointments for UK and International Clients. He provide strategic leadership for the the teams within Silcock Leedham and is active in early concept design, fault finding and validation of complex systems/projects.
Bill Leedham
Bill is the joint founding partner Silcock Leedham LLP, now Silcock Leedham Consulting Engineers Limited, responsible for the engineering excellence of the business. He is a degree qualified engineer with over 20 years experience as a consultant with a number of different size practices. Bill has a strong technical focus, being the 'engine room' of the business's engineering quality.
Due to his high level of technical ability Bill gets asked to carry out a number of extremely complex engineering projects. This has included numerous projects for prestigious Universities, Manufacturing Clients, Hospitals and Retailers.
Leigh Farr
Leigh’s experience within the building service sector has developed over a number of years, commencing from apprentice electrician with Crown House Engineering, to Engineering Manager for a major high street bank. His consultancy experience has been gained over the 7 years working for a major M&E services consultant, with the last 9 years at Silcock Leedham having gained equity partner status and is now a Director of Silcock Leedham Consulting Engineers Limited.
Leigh has extensive experience in data installations, configuration, and commissioning; Leigh actively participates in all aspects of telecoms, datacoms specifications, quality checking and functioning of these networks to meet the user brief. Being able to develop the technical brief from the client I.T team and administer this through the contract to completion and handover.
Nick Barton
Nick’s career has been a mix of contracting and consultancy backgrounds, and started on site through the design, installation and contract administration of various commercial and public building projects. This gave Nick the practical experience which he has used to develop his design capabilities over the last 10 years. He has built up his design experience to encompass Heritage & Restoration, Education, Commercial, Retail and mixed use developments.
Nicks role means he is responsible for the technical excellence of electrical and lighting design and overall engineering quality. He has worked on a considerable number of heritage and museums projects in addition to College and University projects. He has particular expertise and interest in the design of electrical services for historic buildings.
Simon Malarkey
Simons career started at a major international engineering contracting company developing from an apprentice electrician to a senior design engineer, from where he moved on to head up the Regional office of a national engineering consultancy and then to Silcock Leedham.
An extremely wide range of experience has been gained on a multitude of different projects and sectors. From multi storey mixed use landmark buildings and major Higher Educational developments to Highly Serviced Laboratory Buildings. With experience in both Consultancy and Design and Build, Simon prides himself on being able to extract the correct brief from the client. From which the delivery of well engineered solutions are produced on time and to cost.
Dale Morgan
Dale is chartered building services engineer, having been employed in the construction industry for over 15 years, in both Consultancy and Client environments.
Dale has extensive experience in the Healthcare, Education, Commercial and Retail sectors, with particular emphasis in recent years on the design, management and delivery of large-scale PFI schemes, particularly in the healthcare sector, with contract values ranging from £6m to £90m.
He has recently designed the new faculty buildings for the a major University including a new £70m campus that included Theatre, Film and Television studios, IT teaching space and student hub buildings.
