Silcock Leedham has been appointed to undertake M&E, AV and acoustic design services for the remodelling of the Student Union building at the University of Huddersfield.

Following the relocation of the Student Union into a new location, the former building has become available for re-development and change of use.  The University has allocated in the region of £2m to remodel the current Student Union Building to create a state of the art central campus teaching building.

The works are due for completion for the start of the new term in September and will provide the University with a mixture of large tiered lecture theatres, smaller teaching seminar rooms, a reception area with break out space and a café.

We will be working closely with the design team and main contractor to complete a fully detailed services design to meet the required 14 week project timescale.
