computer modelling (CFD)

Silcock Leedham utilise the latest thermal modelling software to produce expert design advice for clients, architects and contractors. By using the latest technological software to model the building, the whole design team can get an in-depth understanding of the building, its conditions and its possible limitations. This allows informed decisions to be made during the design process as to the form the building takes and the environmental systems employed.

We undertake the following services using computer modelling software:

Dynamic thermal 3D model creation, simulation and analysis for energy and comfort. This is often used to verify compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations as well as compliance with industry standards such as Building Bulletins used in schools design.

CFD model creation, simulation and analysis for internal or external microclimate studies, dispersion and comfort assessment

Daylight simulation using real date and time related data to give a true understanding of its contribution within a building.

Artificial 3D lighting simulation to give accurate representation of internal building appearances, using different light sources.
