Client’s Requirements

The Bowcliffe Hall commission is a major multi-million pound renovation of one of Yorkshire’s most historic stately homes. The scheme includes the creation of 31 luxury office suites, an art-deco dining room themed on a pilots’ mess, where food will be served to tenants and visitors and the restoration and redesign of the 19th century landscaped gardens which include a tree house conference and corporate hospitality facility.

Silcock Leedham worked closely with the client to develop the brief for the mechanical and electrical services into a detailed performance specification which included an extensive landscape and façade lighting design.  We were retained by the client to monitor and approve contractor designs and monitor quality and compliance on site.

Silcock Leedham’s Contribution

A major part of this commission was the installation of a large ground source heat pump which was to  be the primary heat source for the whole site, allowing the removal of the old oil fired heating system.
