When asked by the Helmsley Group to design the ultimate internal conditions for their two new prestigious dwellings in York (whilst maintaining the sustainable agenda of the scheme) Silcock Leedham LLP decided to install an underfloor heating and cooling system supplied from high efficiency heat pumps. The system allows individual room control for occupancy comfort whilst maintaining a low environmental impact. In fact combined with the latest technology LED and fluorescent lighting also employed on the scheme the building has managed to attain a B rating for Environmental Impact under the Governments Standard Assessment Procedure for the Energy Rating of Dwellings.
